Lacanche/Westahl Range Cooker Demonstration

Demonstration of cooking various dishes on a live Lacanche with a menu designed to show off the cookers' huge versatility and performance.
The programme covers different cooking methods and techniques from using hob top accessories such as the wok ring, smooth and ridged griddle plates, to cooking in the gas, electric and simmer ovens. There is plenty of food to taste, accompanied by wine (Burgundy, naturally). Dishes range from starters, through mains to desserts and locally sourced seasonal ingredients are used where possible.
This is a full bore 2 hours: the format is relaxed, with questions and answers, and lots to eat and taste, but we will also try to explain a little about Lacanche and its extraorindary history, as well as show you the tips, tricks and techniques (both practical and gastronomic) that we have learnt over the years.
These events are usually great fun, and existing owners as well as prospective purchasers are very welcome. There is a fee of £20 per person to help cover the costs, and you have to book beforehand (please call 01202 733 011). They are popular evenings, and fill up fast so early booking is advised.
